It’s time to check in for your flight bound for Seattle, USA. Thanks to crossing the international dateline, you’ll arrive on the same day. On arrival at Seattle Airport, please make your own way via taxi or shuttle bus to the hotel and check-in. The remainder of the day is free to explore this vibrant city.
Note: Depending on flight schedules, you could need to be at the airport the night before and your room may not be available for check-in on arrival, but luggage can be stored at the hotel until your room is available.

Seattle Wallace
The first day on tour is a scenic journey from the Pacific Northwest to Wallace, Idaho. If you were to drive straight through it would take around 5.5 hours, but we’ll be making stops along the way as we travel east through the wine country of Washington State. Witness the tall timber and spectacular landscapes of Columbia Gorge and follow part of Lewis and Clark’s historic expedition in 1804. On arrival in Wallace, this evening is free to explore and dine at your leisure.

Wallace Yellowstone National Park, Montana
Get set for an unforgettable day, travelling through cowboy country to Yellowstone National Park. Feel like you are on the set of a classic American movie, with a backdrop of rivers that once flowed with gold and frontier towns that tell the tales of America’s rugged history. Then the star of the epic journey is the world’s first national park, Yellowstone. Established in 1872, this park is full of incredible experiences, like famous Old Faithful, one of nearly 500 steaming geysers in the park, as well as colourful hot springs, bubbling mud pools and amazing landscapes where animals have roamed since prehistoric times. The route that we’ll take through Yellowstone will be determined by the weather on the day and road conditions. Similarly, we’ll stay overnight around Gardiner or West Yellowstone, Montana, depending on what will give us the most favourable itinerary.

Yellowstone National Park Great Falls
It’s worth getting up early this morning to discover more of Yellowstone’s natural beauty and look out for the park’s unique wildlife. Then continue our adventure to Great Falls, Montana, on a drive through majestic mountains and verdant forests.

Great Falls Banff, Canada
Today we continue heading north and cross from the USA into Canada. The scenic journey leads to the mountain resort town of Banff, where a sightseeing drive takes us to nearby Bow Falls, that featured in Marilyn Monroe’s film River of No Return, and the famous Banff Springs Hotel. Continue to the nearby town of Canmore in Alberta’s Rocky Mountains for a free evening and two-night stay.

Banff Icefields Parkway Columbia Icefield Lake Louise Banff
Make sure your camera is fully charged for today’s sightseeing! This morning we begin with a drive along Icefields Parkway, that’s hailed as one of the most beautiful highways in the world. The jaw-dropping scenery in Banff and Jasper National Parks is highlighted by more than 100 ancient glaciers, waterfalls cascading down dramatic rock faces, sweeping valleys and ultra-blue lakes. This amazing region boasts breathtaking views of Crowfoot Glacier, Bow Summit and Mistaya Canyon. Here, there’s option to ride the specially designed “Ice Explorer” onto the surface of Columbia Glacier (not included – approx. $120 CAD Per person & subject to suitable weather conditions). This afternoon, enjoy a short walk along the shore of Lake Louise and soak in the area's tranquil beauty, history and geography.

Banff British Columbia National Parks Abbotsford
Today is a big 9 hours of driving, but the journey will be punctuated with beautiful snow-capped mountain scenery and rest stops along the way. Travel westwards through three of Canada’s most breathtaking National Parks: Mount Revelstoke, Glacier and Yoho. Take time to stop at the Eagle Pass and visit the ‘Last Spike’ of the transcontinental railway, which connects the East and the West. The final destination for our overnight stay will be the Abbotsford/Chilliwack area.

Abbotsford Vancouver
The last day on tour takes us to Vancouver, a bustling seaport on British Columbia’s west coast. The culturally diverse city boasts a thriving art, theatre and music scene. Its picturesque setting and mountain backdrop have made it a popular filming location. Enjoy an introductory tour of the city, including Chinatown, Gastown and Stanley Park. Then transfer to Canada Place in Downtown Vancouver in time to embark on your spectacular Alaska cruise aboard Holland America Line’s ‘Koningsdam’.

Juneau, Alaska
Today the ship will arrive at 1PM.
Accessible only by air or sea, Alaska's capital city entices travelers with its beauty, tranquility and outdoor activities. The Mendenhall Glacier, the jewel of the Juneau Icefield, can be discovered on scenic drives, hikes, boat rides, rafting trips, kayaking excursions and helicopter tours. Thrill-seekers get their adrenaline fix while ziplining above alpine forests, and culture lovers learn about landmarks such as the governor's mansion and St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church during explorations of downtown. A prospector-led panning adventure to Last Chance Basin allows you to strike gold, just as folks did in the late 19th century. Juneau's waters are a hot spot for humpback whales, and daily cruises afford the opportunity to witness these majestic creatures-a truly unforgettable experience. Brush up on local history with a visit to the Alaska State Museum, and cap off the day's adventures with a sampling of freshly caught salmon and locally sourced beer.

Skagway, Alaska
The ship will arrive at 7AM.
Though it's small in terms of population, Skagway is plenty big when it comes to adventure. Sail among waterfalls and wildlife on Lynn Canal, one of the longest, deepest fjords in North America, or take a helicopter tour over glaciers before trying your hand at dog sledding. A kayaking expedition down the Inside Passage will have you paddling past seals, sea lions, porpoises and possibly humpback whales. Hikers can trek the Chilkoot Trail, the primary route prospectors followed in Alaska's 19th-century gold rush, while photographers will marvel at the jaw-dropping photo ops from atop White Pass summit, which is accessible via railway or a picturesque drive on the Klondike Highway. Amid the scenery and stillness of Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve, keep your eyes peeled for the rare and endangered birds during a river float.

Ketchikan, Alaska
The ship will arrive at 11AM.
With its boat-filled harbor and colorful waterfront, Ketchikan welcomes visitors to southeastern Alaska's Inside Passage. Fishing opportunities abound in the self-proclaimed salmon capital of the world, and bear viewing spots often find the creatures munching on their catch of the day. The Totem Heritage Center displays 33 19th-century totem poles, making it the largest collection in the U.S. Expeditions to the country's largest national forest, Tongass, explore its 16.7 million acres by Jeep, canoe or on foot, while floatplane tours provide a bird's-eye view of Misty Fjords National Monument. Other outings explore the town's past as a Native American settlement and gold rush hub or take to the water with kayaks or paddleboards for encounters with harbor seals and the occasional humpback or killer whale.
