Day 1

Australia Hanoi

Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and be transferred to the hotel for check-in. Hanoi is a charming and richly historic city of lakes, shaded boulevards and verdant public parks. The city center is like an architectural museum, with blocks of ochre buildings retaining the air of a provincial French town from the 1930s.

At 9PM, enjoy a welcome drink and meet your tour guide to have a briefing on the itinerary.

Day 2

Hanoi Halong Bay

Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is rich with culture thanks to an eclectic mix of influences including French, which is evident through the fine old colonial buildings and tree-lined boulevards. Meet your local guide in the morning to discover the city, taking in sights including Ho Chi Minh Complex, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, The President Palace, Ho Chi Minh’s house – on – stills and the nearby One Pillar Pagoda. Enjoy traditional local fare for lunch before visiting the Temple of Literature (Vietnam’s first university, built in the 11th century), Sword Lake and Ngoc Son Temple. Then you will enjoy with a water puppet show in front of Hoan Kiem Lake. 

Your Welcome dinner will be at a Michelin Restaurant – 'Gia restaurant'

Day 3

Hanoi  Halong Bay 

Breakfast this morning will be at the hotel. Our guide will pick you up at the hotel lobby for your transfer to Halong Bay by shuttle bus. Arrive at Bai Chay- Ha Long, check in on the cruise with a Welcome drink from a crew member while the manager introduces you to the safety briefing. The boat will then begin its cruise into Halong bay. Let your on board experience start with a delicious lunch set menu in the restaurant. Your first excursion is a visit to Thien Canh Son Cave. Come back to the cruise to relax before a cooking class. Enjoy your special dinner in the restaurant. After dinner, it’s your choice for squid fishing, use of the spa, karaoke or relax under the stars.

Day 4

 Halong Bay Hanoi  Danang Hoi An

Enjoy sunrise on the Bay. Morning Tai Chi session on sundeck. Coffee, tea and breakfast pastries are served in the restaurant. At 8AM, transfer to a bamboo sampan boat to visit Vung Vieng Fishing Village. Rowers are local people wearing traditional costumes.

At 9AM, check out of cabins. Start cruising towards the port. Before arriving an early International buffet brunch is served in the restaurant.

At 11AM, Disembark and return to Hanoi to take your flight to Danang.

Upon arrival at Danang airport you will be met and transferred for checking in at your hotel in Hoian.

Day 5

Hoi An

After breakfast at the hotel, the tour guide will take you to Hoi An ancient town to visit the Japanese Covered Bridge. A beautiful bridge was built by the old Japanese in the 16th century as the Sword on the back of Namazu- a sea monster that has been making earthquakes in Japan. Our tour guide will tell you the beautiful architecture and stories about this wonderful bridge. After that, we will go to visit Tan Ky old house. It is a 200-year-old merchant house of Vietnamese with the fabulous architecture of Vietnamese, Japanese, and Chinese.

Our tour guide will explain to you how beautiful it is in Fengshui and the settings of this ancient house. Then we will go to visit is the Fujian Assembly Hall (Phuc Kien Assembly Hall). It is a typical Chinese Assembly Hall where the Chinese Businessmen worship the Goddess Mazu- the sea mother who helps and rescues people in accidents on the Ocean.

After the beautiful clubhouse of Chinese, we will go to the local handicraft space to learn how to make Hoi An lanterns. The locals there will guide you on how to make the typical traditional lantern of Hoi An.

After making the beautiful lanterns, you will keep what you made to be your souvenir. Last but not least, we will go to visit Hoi An market. It is the biggest market in the ancient town of Hoi An.

Day 6

Hoi An Danang Hue

This morning, you’ll be transferred to Hue via Lang Co Beach and via Hai Van Pass. After lunch at a local restaurant, you board a boat for a relaxing cruise along the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda.

Then check in to the hotel for your leisure. Then you are free. 

Have dinner in royal style and enjoy "Royal Dishes" that were served only to the Kings in the past.

Day 7

Hue

After breakfast, visit The Imperial City, a walled palace and well-preserved remnant of the vast citadel and royal quarters that once existed on the site. In the early 19th century, Emperor Gia Long constituted geomancers to source the best location to build a new palace and citadel and this site was chosen. Tens of thousands of laborers were recruited to dig the ten-kilometer moat and earthen walls that form the outer perimeter of the citadel. We continue our trip to visit the Ming Mang tomb - one of the most majestic constructions of Emperors under the Nguyen dynasty before enjoying the street food in Hue by Cyclo with typical street food in Hue.

Bun Bo Hue – Noodle soup in Hue style is the top pick for everyone who wants to taste Hue specialties food. This is a full flavor of lemongrass and shrimp paste, served with beef, pork, meatballs and salad, with chili on the side. Bánh Khoái is a crepe made from rice and egg yolk. It’s topped with green onion, fish sauce, peeled boiled shrimp, thin slices of grilled beef, and thin slices of fat and bean sprouts. The special taste of Bánh khoái comes from the sauce which only can be made by talented cooks. The most famous brand of Bánh khoái is Thuong Tu. You can come to Banh Khoai Lac Thien at 6 Dinh Tien Hoang Street, Hue city.

Nem Lụi Hue - Barbecued pork is a Hue specialty that you can see anywhere in Hue. To eat, dinners use rice paper to wrap herbs, pineapple, bean sprouts, green bananas, and chili. Then the roll is dipped in a special sauce made from dozens of ingredients such as oil, pork liver, winter melon powder, cinnamon, star aniseed, and coconut cream. Bánh bèo or Bloating Fern-shaped Cake is a savory cake eaten with dipping fish sauce. The rice flour mix is steamed in a small bowl before being topped with shrimp, ground pork, deep-fried pork fat, ground-dried tiny shrimp, and a mix of chopped green onion and oil. Fruit mixed or juice and enjoy local beer at walking street.

Then you are free to enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 8

Hue Ho Chi Minh City

There is some free time for your own exploration in Hue until we transfer to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. On arrival, you’ll be met by your tour guide to visit the Reunification Palace, the former place of President Thieu and his predecessors. Today a museum and venue for official receptions, it features the private rooms of the president, the “War Room” from where the South Vietnamese forces were controlled, and the room where the North Vietnamese army finally took control in 1975. Nearby, you will visit more iconic city landmarks, the Post Office, and the Notre Dame Cathedral (closed for renovation – visit outside only), which were built between 1877 and 1883. Built in Neo-Romanesque style, Notre Dame is the major seat of the Catholic religion in modern Vietnam. The final site for the day is Ben Thanh Market, where a wide selection of goods is on offer. Check in and enjoy the rest of your evening at leisure.

Day 9

Ho Chi Minh City Cu Chi Tunnels  Ho Chi Minh City

In the morning, we head to Cu Chi Tunnels which are in an area known during the American War in Vietnam as the ‘Iron Triangle’, on account of the strength of its Communist insurgency. Cu Chi was also the conclusion to many caravan paths that traced down from the Chinese border, across mountain borders with Laos and into the Mekong Delta, which later became known as the Ho Chi Minh Trail. The network, which is several storeys deep in some parts, includes trapdoors, living areas, storage facilities, weapon factories, field hospitals, command centers and kitchens. After lunch time we back to Saigon for your free time. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.

Day 10

Ho Chi Minh City Australia

Breakfast this morning will be at the hotel. You will then have the whole day free for your leisure. Check-out will be at 12PM. You can leave your luggage at hotel reception until it's time to transfer to the airport for your evening flight home.

Visas: Australian passport holders need to apply for a visa to visit Vietnam. The visa-free stay period is counted from THE DATE OF ENTRY. Please apply E-Visa to Vietnam at least 15 days before the date of entry. The Vietnam visa, can be easily obtained online via this link: https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn  

It takes 3-5 working days for the visa to be issued. The VISA STATUS can be checked at: https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn/web/guest/tra-cuu-thi-thuc after entering the registration code, email, and date of birth. Once the visa is issued, the PDF file can be downloaded and printed. It is advisable to have 2 printed copies to enter/exit Vietnam.
